Bagala Aboriginal Corporation is a community-led organisation dedicated to the empowerment of Indigenous communities in the Barunga and Wugularr (Beswick) communities. We are the Traditional Owners of the Beswick Aboriginal Land Trust, and we represent the Jawoyn clan group, with deep connections to our cultural heritage and land. Our people are the patrilineal descendants of the Lamjorroc, Bulumbara, Moreen, and Anderson ancestors, whose legacy continues to guide and inspire our efforts today.
Our mission is to support the economic empowerment and cultural preservation of the Bagala mob. We strive to create sustainable solutions that benefit our communities and provide opportunities for Indigenous employment, cultural preservation, and social wellbeing. Through innovative community-driven projects, we work to restore control of our land, preserve our traditions, and foster a thriving future for generations to come.
At the heart of Bagala Aboriginal Corporation is our commitment to cultural preservation, community empowerment, and sustainable development. We are guided by the principles of self-determination and collaboration—working with both our Traditional Owners and key partners to ensure our community’s needs are met today, while paving the way for a brighter future.
